Long Way To Freedom Poem by Lana Wesley

Long Way To Freedom

You were so dangerous, I should have stayed away
I came close once only to be captured unknown
You are poisoned, I will get death with pain
Poison I got from you is spreading now unshown
Day by day I walk and look at where you bit me
I have time still to remove all venom complete
But I don't do it, I don't know if I'll even be
Able to clear it, even when my heart won't beat
Toxic spray makes its way deeper every second
I feel the death rushing towards my body fast
Nothing will stay from me but only this record
In this world but down there with you I'll last
You're all I go against from but I let you win
I fell into your arms, left all my being outside
Looking at my life, I walked to commit a sin
Knowing by doing it we will ruin both our lives
So here, I can't breathe, poison got to my heart
I have no desire to feel sorry or to say goodbye
I am dying for you now to give a birth to a start
Where I'm yours, you're mine, no need to lie
