Look At What I Got Now.... - Poem by Shawnee Gonzalez

The beginning was rough,
Two children getting to know each other,
Carefully steping across the boundries
Searching through weeds hoping to learn more.
Trying to keep all the alarms down while
The exploring became a nesesity.
Closer and closer the two children came,
When one got his heart tied,
The other pushed them over the edge,
In to the pool of emotions.
Slowly one went under while the other
Watched in pain.
Realizing how much the other really mattered.
The end was near and that was quite clear,
For the sun began to play peak-a-boo.
Colors covered the ground and addresses were exchanged.
When the one figures out thier heart is taken my another,
They confess the truth.
The other confuessed and lost takes it all in,
Hurt, unable to know who of which has
The one locked in their grasp tonight.
