Lost In Translation Poem by Aisha Evans

Lost In Translation

We are in two different worlds but when we speak we connect
I thought it was impossible to care for someone you've never met.
You make me feel perfect as if I lack defects
And if I’m wrong for feeling these ways don’t hesitate to correct.
I may have missed the signal, you can end this fascination like an early dismissal.
But if I’m not incorrect on what I detect then carefully select
A daily shot of love into my veins and inject.
You have that special effect
I thought they were out of business and stop making men like that.
I want you to be my solider, you know my other half
Upgrade you I’ll give you half of my stash.
But you know what they say wisdom is better than cash
You can compile a million dollars and won’t get half of my worth.
Or you can search the treasures of my heart and collect.
All of my love non stop until you leave me in debt
Bankrupt I won’t be upset, just take out another loan, or place another bet.
Lend you my mind in the form of a check just think and reflect
While I recollect all of my thoughts before my feelings get wrecked.
I can't stand that, and do to that respect for the rest of this letter I'm speaking indirect.
Your sincere I expect you caused this effect
If I’m not on point right now you should stop, intersect.
Enter that, when you reply back
It’s just my heart and my feelings I want you to protect
Stand on guard fake dealings I have to reject
I'm not desperate don’t think for a second your not replaceable
I can dry board erase you, neglect your needs hospitalize and re-evaluate you
Lost in translation if we talking long distance in this instant we can disconnect
It’s nothing major we can change the subject.
Just do me a favor and don't pretend to be my savior.
Once loneliness and misery were strangers, but they love company
Done visited them to much now they frequently accompany me
A damsel in distress, done did a whole year in this love less penitentiary
But if you aint the one I'll wait another century
If it’s meant to be I’ll just go down in history
As the shero whose envision of a hero was just a mystery.
