Lost You Poem by Katlego Rasegwete

Lost You

Day in day out
Pain in tears out
Joy perishes, love reciprocal arises

No more you no more me
No more strength for me to mourn
Neither more smile nor sweeter dreams

Lately married to the past
Can't divorce the past
It's like your love is laminated to my heart
It's a barrier or gate closed to allow any other love

I did believe love does last
This is why I am lost
I did believe in words
This why I am hurt
I did believe in death do us apart
This is why I am apart

It's funny lately
Every girl I see, your image is imprinted on their faces

Lost you
But have you as spectacles

You were and still the one I dreamed for
I was but not anymore the one you hoped to have
I am not mad at you but I am bad for you this why I lost you
Reached my destiny lost my desires

Lived my dream now living my past
Lost for now and found in the past
