Love Poem by Brooke McMinn

Love

Coursing through my veins
Straight to my bleeding heart
But how to get this to end
I don't know where to start
Piercing my skin like a needle
Words so sharp they cut
Every wound deeper & deeper
Each taken with a grain of salt
My drug, your love
And although it may still be there
The trust, it's gone
It seems that again, life is unfair
