Love - Poem by Linda Brooks

Love is hate one and the same, they cause pain
Many don't get what they want,
The pain of it haunts, regardless of my thoughts.
Alone and small, with no one around.
No one would dare to care.
Love and hate one and the same,
Will tear and shread at flesh and feed on depression like,
A hungry rabid wolf with no feeling.
I've felt pain, enough to remain without living in vain.
Love and hate are one and the same,
Leave me out of it because I've felt that pain.
