Love And Her Rainbow Nation Poem by Feyisayo Anjorin

Love And Her Rainbow Nation

Love will reign and rule,
Swords to ploughshares, spears to prunning hooks.
African children will run in the rains,
We'll be seated in a shed and marvel at our gains.
The princes of darkness will lose their sting,
Mountains as heights of glorious views, valleys as depths of Eden. An eternal stretch of bloom,
A time without the grips of doom.

The sun will not set on this Love, Thorns will never grow on roses, gains without pain.
We will walk on precious heights, We will fly in the winds like kites. We will make love, not war, Lovers will swim, lovers will drink from peaceful waters,
We will forget the pains of wasted years,
We will live in joy; without tears.

Love's world order, Love's true meaning,
Our story's perfect end, an end that comes alive,
Safety in a field of flowers, Soothing like tropical showers.
It is better than the kisses of snakes,
It is bigger than the lost world. Even if we have to wait another day,
Our trusted love will lead the way.
