Love At First Sight Poem by Mary Champion

Love At First Sight

From the first moment she walked into the room
his heart, soul and body were fascinated.
Her name was Charity -he found out later -
now he was lost in her beauty - transported -

transported, as if in a magical dream,
he could feel his deep frozen heart start to thaw.
Scarce daring to breath then, he ventured to speak,
her welcoming smile warmed his world with its glow.

The ending was happy -for sometimes they are,
she glided towards him in a drift of lace.
Exchanging the vows that they neither would break,
they walked hand in hand midst a scatter of rice.
