Love Beyond Becoming Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Love Beyond Becoming

The light that read the secret script of love
has shifted, deciphering forms unseen.
The beloved, wearing a once-familiar name,
now seems estranged—as if his own reflection
has turned from him, forgetting what it means.

For one breath outside of time,
my presence was a seal
upon the mirror of pure Being—
until he, whom I had claimed as mine,
stepped back from recognition.
Then the image of "we" dissolved,
a ripple fading
into the Ocean that is One.

When the beauty mark
the Eternal inscribed between our souls
could not outlast the turning worlds,
how could the veil of separate hearts
stay whole, untouched by longing?
Love's clear glass grew clouded—
not by absence, but by a deeper vision
the lovers of the Truth call silence.

The dust beneath my feet
gathered the fading lines
of fidelity's portrait. He slipped away,
vanishing like a garden's final breath
returning to the Night of Origins,
from which all fragrance is drawn forth.

No relic of that former love
remained within my chest.
And when he disappeared,
my heart's rhythm broke
into a constellation of luminous shards—
then gathered itself anew,
beating to a hidden, higher code
known only to the One.

Perhaps he tired of the ancient play
where loyalty becomes a garment
worn lightly by the self.
At the threshold of the Bridal Chamber,
he turned aside from the path
we thought was woven for two.

He offered no vow.
All dreams grew weightless then;
our imagined union melted into mist—
the mist that shrouds each fading dream
before the true dawn breaks.

The landscape of his soul,
once a forest of shadow, fire,
and trembling truth,
altered its secret geometry.
And when I looked upon him next,
I met a stranger—
for every mirror shows, at last,
the state of the one who gazes.

As his hidden seasons unrolled
like scrolls inked by a silent destiny,
my yearning to behold a spring in bloom
softened into a waiting without want.

The tears I once held sacred
evaporated in the sun of timelessness.
And when I smiled at last,
my heart awoke—
no longer a vessel carved for wounds,
but an endless horizon.

This is love without a form,
love beyond becoming,
love in which the lover, the beloved,
and the ache of longing
are revealed, and are the same.
