Love=hate Poem by Kaysen Fraker

Love=hate

I don’t see love the way most others do
most see it the way people portray it in the commercial holiday
Valentines Day
cupid’s day

All smiles
candies
and happy endings
love to me is the exact opposite

Cold
spiteful
ugly
heartless

Love doesn’t care who it affects
or hurts
it's just another emotion
that can cause just as much happiness as it can cause pain

Although I believe it can cause much more pain
than it could ever cause pleasure
love can only create happiness
when two people that have the same love for each other pair off

It’s the love that someone has for a person
which is never returned
that just stews inside them
that turns to hate

That’s real love
another ingredient in hatred
making some of us hate
and others feel nothing at all

Love is nothing to celebrate
love is ugly
love is horrid
love is the true monster

It’s companionship
devotion
and dedication that matters
the things you develop after the feeling of love

Without those
love becomes hate
and eats away
at the one that feels that love

So don’t think
that just because you love someone
that you could never hate them
you may very well be wrong
