a candle lit, it glows
throws a gloomy light
makes a silhouette
of thy and my heart slows

hair falling like a cascade
nose so little a peck
lips cupid's bow like
looks divine, thine god made

me awed! me mesmerized!
my eyes running all over thy
she lowers hers in shy
no apologies tendered

it was love in her eyes
could read it in her smile
feel her heart away a mile
in joy mine flutters and flies
