Love Or Ease? - Poem by Juan Varela

The love elects
does not select
it arrives and stays
then after it asks

Love and know
bona fide
Know and love
fictitious ease
no pain attached
unable to resist

Feeling ashamed
of your loved one
you’re looking for
a brand archetype
that cannot exist
‘cause God created man
and another man
cannot give life
to perfection
non-existent abstraction
that inhabits minds
with all and contradiction
