Love's Coin... Poem by Robert Mutsaers

Love's Coin...

Given faith and upon no return,
We color the difference.
With pleasure, in testing love's stern.

I think of the disbelief and superstition,
When we parlor our indifference.
With pleasure, in challenging the Celtic Herne.

Our difference in love's repetition,
Sails upon winds of grievance.
With pleasure, in pleading for recognition.

Anticipation captured in a moment,
When the expected turns us to torment.

The hurl of our burning hearts,
When believing that love departs.

Appealing to the raid of disbelief,
When seeking to nurture love's crest.
One is uncertain when the thief,
Needs to appear again on love's quest.
