Love's Serenade

Let fly these words on eagle’s wing
Allow them rise above
Lord hear this heartfelt praise I sing
This humble song of love

Who else but You can raise the dead
Who else gives eyes to see
Who else could come as Living Bread
And set this captive free

What Light resides inside Your heart
What wisdom dwells within
None else but You could love impart
To take away my sin

I give my God my tainted soul
This wayward heart of stone
For only You can make me whole
And heal this flesh and bone

Lord, help me doubt each foolish doubt
Baptize in Fire and Light
Allow this child Your praises shout
Equip me for the fight

Its not by might life’s war is won
Its not by works we do
But through The Spirit of Your Son
And through His birth anew

My only hope is Jesus Lord
The fact He died for me
My faith was tempered by The Sword
Man nailed upon the tree

Let love become my scale and rule
Let love become my guide
Anoint me as Your humble tool
And use me far and wide
