Love To Pauline Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

Love To Pauline

Years passed like roaring waves
In stunning remembrance
Of the days

Days that stood still
Days which were blizzards
Of madness

Silent walks in the evening
In empty parking lots
And by the lakes

After work dinner
Summer days like hurricane
Sweeping into the coolness
Of October

And through it all
Did we realize
Time had gone

Till cancer took you
And I paced along
The corridor of the hospital
Looking for a reason
In an unreasonable world

To Pauline
The love we shared
On hilltops
On deserts
On black mountains
And blue
On city streets
On glittery nights

In the orchards of our lives
