Loving What Is
Can I love what is deep and meaningful?
Can I love what is inane?
Can I accept all that is lovely?
And love all that is insane?
Can I love that I am guiltless?
Can I love that I’m to blame?
Can I embrace all that is sacred?
And cherish the profane?
Can I embrace this world and all it is,
The good, the bad, the ugly?
If God is love and I am His,
When I choose this,
I choose to love me.
