Luna Poem by D A Phinney

Luna

What is it about you...
Is it that the Moon strikes so deeply
I want to be the man in there

Is it the way you phase in and out of my life
Or that every new thing in you is hidden
Until I am illuminated

Or the way you shine so bright sometimes you harvest my soul
And that while at night you pulse within my blood
In the day I am suspended by your unfamiliar beauty

Is it that I am amazed most by your distance
Or by your nearness

Or could it finally be the other side of you I never see
Darkest, most seductive mystery
