Lunar Poem by Miss Fairytale

Lunar

The midnight Moon weaves delicately
a tapestry of night,
Illuminating shadows and strangers
Silhouetting wolves and angels.
Pearly cords fall into gentle night
Smothering Earth in enchantment.

With heavenly magick she wraps
her translucent skirts about the Earth
Claiming it as child,
To her breast she pulls the sphere of spoiled nature
Soothing away the aches of existence
Nourishing elements stripped of nutrition.

'I was born in love with thee',
whispers she in soothing tones,
Smoothing humanities scars from Earth's face
With fingers of radiance, of grace.
Kindly Mother Moon cloaks the dying Earth
in her maternity shroud
Feeding lunar love into the child's hungry mouth.
