Lunch At The Ritz Poem by Lydia Martin

Lunch At The Ritz

Red roasted rarities
Deliciously dripping
With anonymous sauces.
Salubrious Salmon
And seductive sushi
Slide secretly onto your plate.

Queues of edible squares
March toward you
Like invited invaders.
A waffling portcullis
Oozing with chocolate
Wends its way to your table.

With senses seduced by
Slinky cherries and
Intoxicating coconut,
Infusions of passionfruit
With mountains of mousse
Exist to tantalise taste buds.
