Lunchtime Poem by bob barci

Lunchtime

It's lunchtime
and the pizza is steaming
and the people are gleaming
at this Sicilian pie.
So large and square,
thick and cheesy,
My mouth waters,
just from the thought.
I like mine with anchovies
but cheese is fine too.
Cut into twelve pieces
I'll take the four corners
cause I like the crust.
Delight me with pizza tonight
and I'm yours forever.
Feed me pizza
and you've got a very happy person.
The pizza it steams
but soon it will be gone.
We stuff our faces
as we wait no more and
devour the pie.
