Lying Dreams Poem by Kalee Skriver

Lying Dreams

My tangled dreams tell me twisted lies,

Yet what is the result, is yet a surprise.

My memories are turned to display the unknown,

And still I am enthralled by your golden throne.

If my fantasies defeat me, there will be little left to say.

But there is one last thing that I need to convey.

Just like that night, alone, ...in your comforting arms,

So am I still wary of other, unfamiliar charms.
