Mad Mirrors - Part C (63) Poem by Raquel Angel Nagler

Mad Mirrors - Part C (63)

UNTITLED
QUOTE: 'You only become wise after seventy when it's of no use to you'- J. Saramango

A. The wisdom of the old:
The patient bread.
It feeds our quiet.

B. It's evening inside me.
I realize
It is never too late for answers,
The way it's never too late for pain.

UNTITLED
QUOTE: 'Walls have the effect of aiding the forgetfulness of the world' - J. Saramango

I carry the walls in my skin,
Yet the world finds me.
It leaves its breath in my mouth,
In my throat: its sigh.
