Magnetic - Poem by Kaysen Fraker

People say
you don’t know love
'till you’ve had your heart broken
unfair right

Sadly its true
'cause my heart breaks
every time I have to say goodbye
and not know the next time I get to say hello

I knew I loved you
I just didn’t know how much
'till that first time
you vanished

When you came back
I was so happy
I could barely breath
maybe its 'cause of how long I held my breath

I wait
and wait
not knowing when
you’ll come back

I’m tired of waiting
first time was a few months
second was a couple weeks
this time is one to many

My heart is in pieces
so small
I cant even pick them up
with my own hands

If you don’t come back soon
my heart will turn cold
and ill be able to pick up the pieces with a magnet
