buddha the light of asia
the beacon of peace
revered all round the world
confined by fanatic radicals
in his own enlighten abode
shackled in superstitious principals
he broke away from
preaching against blind faith
encouraging open mind
to question all and everything
not even sparing him
to accept something
only after examining
on self realization and scientific fact
so hear this plea
if it appeal to humanity
to unveil the truth
with no intent to retribute
from the chronicles of history
buried under lies
untold unrevealed unjustified
genocide of thousands of buddhist
by impugn fanatic radicals
in quest of reviving
their discriminatory and fake
human degrading faith
once time behold
india's era gold
when buddhism was at its prime
millions of buddha statues and shrine
nalanda, takshahila, vikramshila
oldest universities in times
spreading love, kindness and compassion
imbibing righteous knowledge
scientific, medical, mathematics and spiritual
firm on equality and fraternity
that usher humanity
all over indian continent and beyond
that no war ever conquered
but by compassion and peace
buddhas esa dhammo sanantano
yet impermanence as is
conscientious fanatic radicals
beheaded buddhas disciples
destroyed once treasured
buddha statues and shrines
if not destroyed then defaced it
if not defaced then disguised it
shrines in to mandirs
stupas in to lingas
buddha to vishnu, shiva, et al.
boddhisattavas to laxmi, saraswati, et al.
from kedarnath (north) to rameshwaram (south)
and jagannath puri (east) to pandharpur (west)
with false divine narratives
unquestionable by multitudes
under god-fearing wraths
so called divine scriptures dared
one seeing buddhas face
will die an ominous death
impermanence at its worst
established manusmirti atrocious
inequality, hostility, inhumanity
became norm of the india society
gained religious sanctimony
practicing it contemporaneously
veiled in democratic framework
their religious intrinsic core
divide and rule all
through vicious cycle of castes
brahimin, vaisya, kashritya, sudra
within these countless more
status imposed by birth not deed
counter to buddha preached
reason for radicals to survive
over the inferiors blind mentality
accepted their status in pride
oblivious to graded inequality
busy demeaning those next in line
unaware they too stand behind
have lost the sight to fight
for equal status by right
blindly accepts radicals
superiority birthright
saints/kings/leaders who challenged
defamed or ignored as never been
some met with mysterious death
yet impermanence as is
this too shall pass
remembering the great words of
dr. babasaheb ambedkar
india will be prabuddha
best said by the enlightened one
the sun, the moon, and the truth
can never be hidden
in dawn of digital word
a spark of truth
can burn down soon
web of treachery and falsehood
empire of radicals built upon
if only we stand against
injustice anywhere
mark the words of dr. martin luther king jr.
as threat to justice everywhere
will also help break free
the usurpation of
Buddha's Enlightenment (Mahabodhi) Temple
from the clutches of anti-buddha
as nowhere in the world
a prime institute of one's religion
managed by one's religions persecutor
