Maiden Love Poem by Cyclopseven R

Maiden Love

Sweet indeed was the maiden love
Monkeys appeared like cats
Girlfriend was a poor queen
Pretty was she, prettier than mandrill
Puppy puppy puppy love is surely monkey love.

In school books became a menace
Studies thrown into furnace
Girlfriend held higher in all
Answer for exam, only her name I wrote all
Failing exam I can sit again in another hall
Failing her, will my life be happy?

Girlfriend, a queen, a poor one
She asked for many things
I stole my papa’s $$$
Bought her almost everything
From pizza, KFC, white gold and dress
She was happy and hugged me like a puppy.

Months passed by
Father’s thinning pocket
Raised the suspicious eyebrow higher
The old man began to conflict
My mum a victim in between
My love was all my point was
In meditation I was deeply engrossed
My lover danced like a deity in trance
Imagination ran wild beyond anticipation
She was everything, my life's breath
Sign of puppy love running wild.

As I grew, she grew too
We looked at each other
And she said, never
We can’t be in love
She said in loud tone
“infatuation” had gone
“I am leaving”
I was left alone, in pain
She left along with my pizza, KFC, white gold and dress
And my papa’s $$$$
I wished she returned all those
But whispers that goes with wind
Will never return its wink
What’s more a girlfriend
A poor queen, a money grinder.
