Siren songs pierce the sunset
and graze another day,
fools play a melody of stars
in the blessed night,
just to carry you away.
So we sail through
light and dark,
sail along in black,
now we are away from home
there is no turning back.
We sing,
sing our song,
so we cling,
carry on
to the light at the end of the world.
Darkened majesty
in death drops hue,
a beast from the depths,
lifts the waves,
takes our hearts.
Towering above our heads
he will carry us away,
send us to the place
where we were born.
But we scuttle away
into the golden dawn,
look on back,
and feel forlorn
for the golden days
we've left behind.
