Making Knowledge Ii. Poem by Linda Kaastra

Making Knowledge Ii.

II. I Am Allowed to Move

I stand up tall, and gaze in the mirror
Just standing and breathing allows me to Let Go

I rise up on my toes, chest extended upward
and release back down

When the time is right, I do it again, and again
Each time listening for direction

On my count

I set the pace

It is my breath that guides me forward, upward, downward
and through

Each movement creates space for new things to flourish
For old things to fade away

Movement determines which parts to listen to
Where to adjust my posture
When to lighten up
and How to lean in

My Pisces Earth seeks form and structure from the Sun and Moon
Dissolving hardships
Imagining possibilities
Shape shifting in a state of readiness

Making knowledge on ancient forms
A benevolent gift of movement from a kindred spirit
From long ago and far, far away

Ancient one,
My heart is glad for all your efforts to reach me
My heart is glad for all my attempts to find you
