Nu falder Høstens Blade, nu fødes under Veer
en ny Olympiade, hvor han ej kæmper mer.

Hans Kunstsind skal dog fejres paa Nordmænds store Vis
og af den danske Digter, som drømte i Paris.

I Norge bor en Rigdom, skønt strengt er dette Land,
der tør de ikke miste den Lyngnist, som gi'r Brand.

De har saa snilde Sønner, de bedre kan forstaa,
men en som Ludvig Karsten, ham vil de huske paa.
