Marry Me Poem by Mishy Bashert

Marry Me

Will you marry me?
Not now
Maybe not
In this lifetime
Even

Will you marry me?
Endings
Are so hard
Head spinning
Struggling for breath
Where are you?

Will you marry me?
We can dive
Holding hands
Into the sea
On our honeymoon
In another galaxy

Will you marry me?
Married sex
Dirty married sex
Tongue groping
Deep in your insides
My newly betrothed
How naughty you are

Will you marry me?
I want to feel
What it's like
To watch you
Walk through the door
Into our home
Day after day

Will you marry me?
Hypothetically
Figuratively
Metaphorically

Not now
Maybe not
In this lifetime
Even

Still, will you?
