Martian Haikus Poem by Francis Poole

Martian Haikus

Crater chasm beckons
shadows of Martian sunrise
chasing silent mountains

Toss a handful of dust
midair smile
frozen peach margarita

Hungry after landing
French toast aroma
from Martian kitchen

Night in the Martian desert
sub-zero summer wind
scatters no leaves

Solar flares come free
with a particle storm
and a blue ring around the sun
