Mask Poem by Kapali Kaali

Mask

I am no more I am
Since I wear a mask
You are no more you are
Since you wear a mask
I know the mask I wear
You know the mask you wear
You say you know me
I say I know you
But the mask hides the real
I may be wearing the mask of a wolf
You may be wearing the mask of an eagle
Let us throw the masks we have
And face each other with the real you and me
Let us stop playing
The hunter and the prey
Before we reach the graveyard.
