Masked Love Poem by Joy Davis

Masked Love

Rating: 2.5

Two beautiful blue eyes
clouded with pain and heartache
overflowing with tears and so dies
a love so mistakably fake

A curved smile of beauty
with words of anguish and anger
masked whispers of love to me
are nothing but a stab from a dagger

A lonely hollow heart
with nothing dwelling inside
for the cause of being torn apart
has left an empty space
where a bit of love lied
