Maurice Poem by Jan Jarnigan

Maurice

Maurice humbles me.
He conquered physical death
More than once.
He has returned to this world
A better person ~~~
Because we need him here ~~~
To teach us
The lessons of life:
To be sweet, helpful, hopeful,
And to lift our brother's heavy load.
He smiles and I know if he can smile after
Death has claimed him ~~~
Then I will be okay too.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Maurice was a young man I used to work along side with. He had a
sweet disposition and inspired me to write this ode and give him a copy.
