Me And Him Poem by Pleasant Dabbs

Me And Him

I walk and He accompanies
I talk and He listens
I sing and He harmonizes
I plant and He takes root
I irrigate and He nutrifies
I cultivate and He fertilizes
I read, He gives understanding
I memorize and He retains
I eat and He prepares the meals
I exercise and He builds muscles
I write and He registers
I pray and He answers
I sacrifice and He reminds me of His
I suffer and He reminds me of His
I cry and He shed so many tears
I make friends and He already has billions
I breathe and He creates kelp, seaweed and algae
I make enemies and He loves all
I criticize and He reminds me of my weakness
I ignore and He highlights
I'm tired and He's prostrate
I compose but He's the Author
I fix but He mends
I reject His light but He continues to shine
I forget Him but He never forgets me
I sin and He forgives
I complain and He compliments
I criticize and he praises
I find fault and He recognizes strength
I end here but He continues to live, lift and redeem
