Medusa Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Medusa

the pillars and walls
have warned you
but there is
nothing to replace,
all is just a little too much
every seducing, too intricate
she’ll hop into your lap
tracing your every fear
every weakness
with her powerful fingertips
enticing you with her touch
she’ll make you immobile,
but still wanting every bit of her
before you could make a move
you’re solid rock
she’ll make you alive
more than you’ve ever been
just to watch you die slowly,
as you stare
into her savage-beautiful eyes
the last thing you’ll ever see
is her licking her lips
