Memories Poem by Raghurama Raju

Memories

Memories are velvety like roses,
They pierce the lonely hearts!
They walk silentlylike dreams in the winter,
And trample you under their cold feet!
They are still like the waters of a serene pond,
But begin to roar in a moonlit night!
They are like melodious strings,
Which slash your fingers
when you attempt to strum!
They are like a song set in spring,
Wake you up when you want to relax

And lulls you to sleep
when you to stir to get up!
