Memories Poem by Paul Price

Memories

Rating: 5.0

I sit here in the dark
I sit here in the cold
Alone, not a soul around
Not a soul to save me from this Hell

The memories come back
They flood my mind
They take me over
And won't let go

No one to walk with me through my troubles
No one to pick me back up when I fall down
I call for your comfort, for your warm feeling,
There is no answer to my call.

What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to push you away so far?
The sound of your voice, the look in your eyes,
Your kind words to me in time of need,
They always gave me that extra strength to get back up.

Now, I sit here
Alone, Away from the world
Everyone shut back out of my life
No one to save me from my memories
