I don't want to remember …

To be reminded of all I lost
To relive familiar emotions
Heart written in bold font
A movie flashing in my mind

I don't want to forget …

To have your memories erased
As if you never existed in my life
To be told it's time to get over you
I don't want to move on without you

In my wanting to remember
and not wanting to forget
I hold you close to my heart

I have lost a part of me in you
I have found you hidden in me

You will always be a part of me
I will always remain a part of you
