Memories Linger As Clouds Covering Sunny Skies Poem by Nate Jones

Memories Linger As Clouds Covering Sunny Skies

i say i love you
why won't you believe me
all we do is hide
we always lie
guiltily crewl up into a ball
and die inside fast we fall
walking so long and so far away
we now have blisters on our feet

i sew it all turn to dust
and i sew you fall away
i sew it slowly rust
and i sew your heart's decay
cleaning up this mess
gaining back your trust

we have changed
when i got your page
that it was over
felt like an icy bleeding shower
it has become my endeavour
when i close my eyes still i see you there
memories linger as clouds covering sunny skies
leave all this behind all that we had without even a care
my senses have became so acute i can't hold back the crys

if i can't have you as a lover
one hug would be my savior
i need you at least as a freind
a broken heart that has to be mend
i got to have you in my life
like a secret dairy you read
all these feelings i hide
drowned in loneliness
pretending i'm fine
the consuming emptiness
i can't keep up with this lie
