Mighty Eagle Poem by Miranda Dodge

Mighty Eagle

Brown and white
Wing span so great
It can fly higher than any other
High in the sky
It dives for it's victim
Scoops it's fish
Then rises to the heavens
The voice is a charm
That rings in the woods
It keeps the peace among it's forest
At night it rests
For day time
It sores the wind
Eye on danger
When no danger comes
It glides in the sky
With not even a cloud
The eagle lands
Perches on the branch
Of an apple tree
