We, the poor birds know
That you keep us always in low
Have you ever tried twittering with parrots?
Ever shared your words with sparrows?
Ever befriended squawking peacock?
Ever your mind pregnant with the migrant birds?
Hey, focus on us a while, who are seen seldom in your scene
Am sure, your spirits elate like a flight, of migrant birds!
And emit shimmering radiance like our wide stretched white wings
Teach darting skills like our long darting beaks
Sing a sonorous song of solidarity like our winged community
Being fledged afresh, your heart
Effaces Empyrean distances, in efficacy
Manifests as a coolest zone for a best sojourn
And the decency of colony of birds descends on you
And like our bowers, made of stems and stalks,
That Shoot or sprout amorous hearts- shower mirth!
You will catch hold of a fleshy-fish of passion and love
All your indolence under the claws of chills
Melts in the lukewarm flames of ‘poesies on Flamingos ‘
Dear Sirs-
Harken us for a nice microcosm
Clean the highways of welkins for pelicans
Roll out verdant carpets for common cranes
See that rivulets run and squirm like a humming birds
Get creaks and ponds into manifolds, to harbor us
Do all this to us
and we swear in return
that we relinquish our foreign citizenship
and pretty settle at Nelapattu!
