Life is drowning me like
An ocean of tears.
Minute by minute.
Being a wife,
a mother.
Being a daughter,
a student.
Being an adult,
a human.
It's like fluid is filling my lungs,
Minute by minute.
While everyone standing around gawking,
Wondering why I don't just inhale.
Minute by minute.
They inhale perfectly fine.
Even thinking about that inhale,
My lungs quickly fill up
& thundering coughs
began spilling out.
Minute by minute.
Looking like an over dramatic,
Fool.
Minute by minute.
A cloud of toxic smog,
Follows my every move.
Minute by minute.
Covering my day in
A shadow of dread.
Minute by minute.
Misconceptions and assumptions,
Destroying trust
And love,
Without ever looking you
In the eyes.
Minute by minute.
Every stab is
A death sentence.
Minimizing your soul,
Minute by minute.
Drowning in an ocean
Of tears.
Stalked by a shadow
Of misery.
Minute by minute.
