Mirror Of Deceit Poem by Omolola Oladotun David

Mirror Of Deceit

Before them I stand
With nothing but praises and accolades
My heart fills with pride
With great sense of the aisle bride
I thought I had it beautiful
But they said I had it all in full
Indeed was I filled with ecstasy
Nevertheless covered up in fallacy
Soon I had awake
Turned and seen it was all made
A mirage made believed
By many like me surrounded by deceit
