Mirrors Poem by Whisper Loudly

Mirrors

I (1)

The mirrors in my life,
are shattered.
They form a cicle around me,
some broken to pieces,
others still intact,
I can easily see the reflection of the shattered mirrors,
but people try to put the ones in-tact in their place,
creating spaces where they once were,
or risking me seeing the broken remains,
it doesn't matter,
I know they're there, and there's no way to get rid of them,
and as much as it hurts,
life goes on.

II (2)
Carnival mirrors, circle around me
One is broken,
and the sixteen others reflect it,
making everything around me seem shattered,
I keep telling myself its just the reflection,
everything is still intact,
until another breaks, and another,
until the reflection of ten broken mirrors raises upon me,
it's beyond my control,
and I tell myself,
there's still six intact,
everything is okay,
until I open my eyes,
and sixteen mirrors,
are broken.
