Misinterpretation Poem by Mary Champion

Misinterpretation

As a renegade, resisting the falsehoods,
motivated only by a desire to uncover the truth,
following my own star
in a landscape studded with booby traps,
always questioning -
mostly myself -
I finally encountered a higher intelligence.
Under his dubious guidance
I did find some of the answers.
And I discovered this -
most of what was said was true,
but what was meant by what was said
needed fine tuning.
