Missing People Poem by Alexander Foald

Missing People

At such a long range
I wish I can lengthen the signal
To wherever you are, listen to me
This is not a rehearsal

My heart can’t take what it feels anymore
Losing every bit it takes to throb
Every second I think about you is wasted
And this time won’t wait until I get through

What’s it like to touch you?
How does it feel to be with you?

I’m wandering all over the town
People are passing by and the streets feel farther
My feet step towards somewhere I never know
And it feels so distant than any place I’ve known

Can you see me lurking in the corners?
Can you tell where the clouds are fading to?
Because I’ve been walking past the times to be here
And you don’t seem to know what I’m about to do

Well I miss you like hell
Console my dignity when I’m relieved
But don’t cut where my heart reaches to
Since I’m only connected to being alive by you
