Missing Signs Poem by Marissa Maddox

Missing Signs

I'm hanging up Missing signs
For a man I do not know
Maybe he's caught up in waiting lines
Or fighting against the rivers flow

I'm standing alone in agony
hoping and praying he will soon be found
For he is the harmony
To my hearts beating sound

Still I walk the crowded streets
Surrounded by people but feeling alone
At night I toss and turn in empty sheets
Is he out there his heart beating my missing tone

I'm hanging up Missing signs
For a man I do not know
Maybe he's caught up in waiting lines
Or fighting against the rivers flow

There is one thing I may never know
Is he lonely missing me
The way frosty misses the snow
Or just happy being alone; alone free

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A poem about someone searching for the one person who they are meant to be with forever. They miss them and searching for them but they do not even know who that person is. I dedicate this to my other half whoever he is and wherever he may be.
