Modern Education Poem by VIJAY KUMAR ROY

Modern Education

What ancient Indian savants accomplished
And recorded in the scriptures and epics
Modern scientists struggle
In the race of achieving.
They conquered the Moon, stars,
The Everest and new planets,
Reduced time and space
And made the global village;
But they did not conquer the evils
Where fraternity lacks love
Prosperity lacks peace
Knowledge lacks wisdom;
Befooling and killing
Have become a part of competition.
From such glory of triumph
Let our conscience liberate!
