Moments Of Solitude

So oft I sit and think of You
Upon Your mighty throne
Wondering what I ought to do
In quietness alone

In solitude the world apart
Seeking to understand
Examining my troubled heart
The soul within Your hand

You’re never far away from me
I know you’re always there
Eager to set my spirit free
Eager to answer prayer

You’re God You’re Christ, my Lord my King
Consuming fire and light
Yet still You hear the songs I sing
Regardless day or night

A servant King with power divine
You’re Lord of lords on high
Saying that all You have is mine
When to myself I die

Your selfless love subdues my fear
How oft with joy I’ve cried
Feeling Your presents ever near
Consuming doubt inside

I bless these times beside Your feet
These moments drenched in love
Preparing when our eyes will meet
Before Your throne above

Lord how much longer must I wait?
What have I yet to do?
Before You open Heaven’s gate
Before I live with You
