Money Verses Relationship Poem by Rajendra Prasad Meena Jaipur India

Money Verses Relationship

Money lives
in our house.
It is like respect,
it supports our life.
We work every day,
to fulfil our needs.
Everything we do
is somewhere for money.
Money is important,
we cannot deny it.
But sometimes,
it goes into wrong hands.
When someone keeps
another person's money,
relationships start
breaking slowly.
A brother forgets
his own brother.
Blood relations
turn into enemies.
People forget
who they really are.
Money has power,
it does not let one fall,
but it attracts deeply,
and controls the mind.
A man who earns little,
if he suddenly gets a lot,
he loses balance,
he becomes blind.
He sees no relation,
he respects no one.
He blocks every path
from where money can go.
He keeps everything,
and calls it his own.
He makes excuses,
to avoid giving back.
Even if he knows
it belongs to someone else.
When money stays
in the wrong hands,
even a kind person
can lose control.
Anger grows,
and fights begin.
Money becomes
a dangerous force.
It is like a monster,
that can do anything.
It breaks trust,
it destroys love.
It creates distance
between close hearts.
Relationships are soft,
they need care and truth.
They need trust,
they need honesty.
Money may shine,
but it cannot feel.
It cannot hug,
it cannot wipe tears.
In the end,
money stays behind,
but relationships
stay in memories.
So always remember,
money is useful,
but relationships
are greater than money.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is about money and how it affects relationships. In the beginning, it shows that money is important in our life. We need it for our daily needs and for living properly. But the poem also shows that money can change people. When money goes into wrong hands, people forget their relationships. A brother can forget his brother, and a friend can become a stranger. Sometimes, when a person suddenly gets a lot of money, they become proud. They start thinking only about money and not about people. They don't want to return others' money and make excuses. Because of this, trust breaks and fights start. Relationships become weak, and people feel distance from each other. At last, the poem tells us that money cannot give real happiness. It cannot understand feelings or help in emotional pain. Only relationships can do that. So, the poem gives a simple message that money is useful, but relationships are more important.
